Freedom of Information Act
In accordance with 5 ILCS 140/1, Freedom of Information Act, the Harrisburg Township Park District shall make available to any person for inspection or copying all public records, except as otherwise provided in Section 7 of this Act.
The Board of Commissioners has designated the following Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Officers for the Harrisburg Township Park District:

Freedom of Information requests may be submitted to the Harrisburg Township Park District in writing. Requests will be accepted via mail, fax, personal delivery, and / or email. Fees may be assessed under the Freedom of Information Act on all requests involving such services as record search, duplication, and reviews.

Public Act 097-0609 - Total Compensation Report
In accordance with Illinois Public Act 097-0609, the Harrisburg Township Park District posts the total compensation package for each employee who has a total compensation package in excess of $75,000 per year. For questions, please contact the Executive Director, Blake Emery, or call 618-252-2111.
Public Act 101-0504 - IMRF Employer Cost & Participation
In accordance with Illinois Public Act 101-0504, the Harrisburg Township Park District posts the link to the IMRF Website to be able to obtain (1) copies of all resolutions adopted by a municipality on or after January 1, 1995 to participate in the IMRF if such a resolution was required; (2) an annual report listing each municipality and the date each municipality first became a municipality that participates in the IMRF; (3) all documents pertaining to each municipality's annual projected future contributions to the IMRF; and (4) information about the amount of each municipality's past required contributions to the IMRF for each year of participation on or after January 1, 1995 and before, if available.

Local Government Efficiency Committee
The Harrisburg Township Park District (“Park District”) is required to form a Committee on Local Government Efficiency (“Efficiency Committee”) pursuant to 50 ILCS 70/1 et seq. (the Act); and WHEREAS, pursuant to the Act, the Efficiency Committee shall: (1) study the Park District’s governing statutes, ordinances, rules, procedures, powers, jurisdiction, shared services, intergovernmental agreements, and interrelationships with other governmental units and the State of Illinois, (2) collect data, research, and analysis as necessary to prepare a written report that includes recommendations with respect to increased accountability and efficiency, and (3) provide a written report to the administrative office of each county board of the county in which the governmental unit is located.
